• Southlake Utilities, Inc. was established in 1990 as a privately owned organization chartered by the Florida Public Service Commission  to provide water and wastewater services to residential and commercial development occuring in a 4.5 mile square mile service area in an unincorporated area in the southeast corner of Lake County, Florida north of the intersection of US Highway 192 and US Highway 27.
  

• Today, this area is known as Cagan's Crossings and Four Corner's.
